Building custom furniture has been my passion for over 40 years, and more recently has been my main gig. Much of my work is Stickley-esque Arts & Crafts pieces, but I also do lots of contemporary, finish carpentry & other styles. I start by understanding how the piece(s) will fit into the flow of your life & home. I design from there, applying your vision along with expert craftsmanship to bring it to life.
I build & finish each piece using old-world, tools/handcrafting, with help from some modern machinery. Mike Minton has been woodworking & building furniture since his teens, growing up on a farm in Ohio. After 30 years as an IT specialist, Booth MBA, and management consultant, Mike turned his life-long passion for fine furniture into his primary gig.
He now focuses full-time on building heirloom pieces for his clients.
