I am Sean Watts, owner of Charlie's Master Carpentry I have been in the construction and carpentry field since 2000. I received an Associates degree with a focus on Residential Construction and Construction Management. I worked in cabinet shops building and finishing cabinets and furniture for about seven years, and during that time I slowly worked into the hardwood flooring field.
I started exclusively working on floors in 2010. Charlie's Master Carpentry was started in 2010, with focus on providing customers with great looking hardwood floors. We have since grown to be the Oregon Coast's premier Hardwood Flooring specialist.

Although no one can claim a dust free sanding operation, with our heavy duty dust collection, we do capture 99% of the sanding dust created.
We have the BEST dust colection system on the Oregon Coast!
The Edge Sander is used to strip and sand flooring around the edges of a room.
In order to sand tight against the wall the front edge of the machine is open to allow the sandpaper to get all the way to the wall.
That open area is where all the dust would escape if it were not connected to a heavy duty Dust Collection System.

Wood floors offer a variety of environmental benefits.
They are a renewable flooring option because trees can be replanted to replace those harvested.
In the U.S. for every tree harvested another 1.66 is planted, which means standing volume is significantly greater today than just a few decades ago.
Because wood floors can last for many generations, they require fewer raw materials - and produce less landfill waste - than other flooring options.
During their services lives, wood floors also sequester carbon dioxide, and when they reach the end of their service life, they can be recycled for other uses or burned as fuel.

The Species you select will depend on your style, budget and personal preferences.
More than 50 domestic and imported species of wood flooring are available to achieve your unique look.
As a general rule, light wood will make a room appear more open and airy, medium woods will make a room feel warm and cozy, and dark woods will make a room feel stately and refined.
Both site-finished and factory-finished wood floors have benefits and advantages.
Choosing one over the other will depend on the level of customization you want to acheive, and your personal preferance.
