Local 1266 is Austin's home for Union Carpenters.
First founded in 1887 as Local 300 and rechartered as Local 1266 in 1936, it is the second-oldest United Brotherhood of Carpenters local in Texas.
We, and the other local unions in the state are affiliated with the Central South Carpenters Regional Council.
The United Brotherhood of Carpenters is one of North America's largest building-trades unions, with nearly a half-million members in the construction and wood-products industries.
We are leveraging our 130-year history to prepare for tomorrow by training, educating, and representing the next generation of construction professionals.
This is a list of leaders: Local 1266 men and women trained through a formal leadership program in skills that make jobsites more productive, safe, and efficient.
Congratulations to these leaders for committing to setting the tone on our jobsites and helping to ensure that our signature deliverables - productivity, skill, and safety - are the results of our work, every day.
