When designing a timber frame structure, the primary focus is on establishing goals for the space, with mathematics and engineering subsequently coming into play. Embedded within these objectives is the aim to create a space that is warm, comfortable, and inviting. Timber framing excels at seamlessly transitioning a space from a cool and austere environment to one that is warm and cozy.

I have been a professional carpenter since 1999. But as a kid I was always building stuff in the backyard and helping my father with his projects. Growing up, I remember seeing houses being framed, seeing the carpenters on the roof laying plywood and thinking to myself, I want to do that! Looking back, I feel fortunate to have a passion and a mindset to pursue my passion from a young age.

If you are looking for the highest quality carpentry at a fair and reasonable cost, Doug from Woodhouse Carpentry is your guy! He is fully licensed and insured so you can count on him finishing the job on time. every time With no surprise added costs at the end. He can even help you visualize your project if you're not 100% certain of what you are looking for. in the attached pic, he built a loft, stairs, and installed shiplap red oak on all of the walls to create my Man Cave in the garage. Or as my daughters put it, the Fam Cave.
