Sprucing up your home or business and/or making it more functional provides instant rewards and often also adds value! Do you love working on your own home projects but want a little extra help with labor or planning? My construction background is primarily carpentry, but while renovating my own properties I learned how to repair just about everything!

From squeaky doors to building gardens, let's get caught up on your home repair and improvements today with an expert handyman! I've built them, renovated them, repaired them, studied them in architecture school, and keep up-to-date on current building science and best practices. For me, healthy beautifully built and designed spaces simply make me smile, and my goal is for you to smile about your house too - after all, a home is where life happens!

So let's make your house a healthy home by making it perfect for you and taking care of it together! After all, EVERY house both new and old has maintenance it needs, updates it requires, or remodeling to be done to suit your own changing life and desires.
Services
Hi, I'm John-Paul, and Maine Handy Works is something I officially started a few years ago, and boy has it been fun!
Helping busy professionals and people who take pride in their homes stay on top of their investment is what I do.
A healthy home is a happy home, and I can help you keep yours in tip-top shape.
I've built many houses from framing to finishing, but here at Maine Handy Works, I focus on updating, renovating, and maintaining existing homes.
I also work along side home owners interested in completing their own DIY projects!
Includes all aspects of home repair and handyman work from fixing doors, updating lights, new sinks and plumbing fixtures, drywall, plaster, etc.
Remodeling often calls on multiple trades.
A bathroom remodel, for instance, requires someone to do the demolition, a carpenter to frame, a drywall professional, a tiler, a finish carpenter, and a painter.
Additionally, legally you have to have a plumber and electrician if you run new pipes or wire.
Where I'm different is that I alone do 90% to 100% of the work!
Maybe you need help with something simple like changing a lightbulb that's quick and easy.
Surely that won't take two hours, so in the instance that your job takes less than two hours, I'm happy to help you with other repair projects on your house or do an inspection to catch any possible other repairs that should be attended to down the road!
As much as I'd LOVE to help everyone in the Midcoast, I do apply a daily trip fee for projects at the edge of my service area and beyond.
The Trip Fee for projects 20-29 minutes away is $40 and $60 for those 30-40 minutes away.
This is an assortment of information for the DIYer and home owner and also includes trusted resources for home repair, improvement, and inspiration.
